I think what really strikes me here is not the fact that the compound was so outrageously decorated, but how much thought Gaddafi must have put into the design of everything. Of course, he probably didn't venture out too much, so he needed that zoo and twirling teacup ride for entertainment. Enjoy a couple pics below:
I wouldn't exactly call dictator chic inspirational, but fascinating it is. My favorite bit from the article is "the cornerstone of dictator chic is 'things in one's own image.'" Absurd. Happy Friday!
