I played hooky on Wednesday with a couple of friends and hit up the Metropolitan Museum of Art to visit the Alexander McQueen show one final time (ends this weekend!) I will let the photographs do the talkin' on this one, but it's amazing- he was a visionary who possessed an overwhelming talent to take the grotesque and spin it into something beautiful. Oh and the craftsmanship! I defer to sartorial experts regarding McQueen's influence on the fashion world, but without a doubt he is greatly missed. The line is insane, as in 2+ hours, but if you are lucky enough to have a membership card you can skip to the front with two buddies (thanks again to my brother and sister-in-law for that amazing birthday present.) Otherwise get there eeearly. Below are some images taken from the Met website (no photos inside) to give you an idea of the inspiring exhibit. Hope you can make it!
Have a great weekend! Signing off.
